Hello! My name is Shayla and I'm a photographer based in Toronto. I'm self taught in both film and digital photography, and I describe my work as 'personality oriented' because I love to capture people as they are—in natural lighting and familiar atmospheres.

I've been taking photos professionally for 7 years, but I've had a camera in my hands for over 14 years. I received my first camera as a gift when I was 13; a red Kodak point-and-shoot EasyShare CD80 (thank you Grandpa). Since then, I've photographed friends, family, artists, cover art, concerts, weddings, engagements, events, and more. Over the years, I've found that my passion for photography is in portraits and photographing people. I love to document special moments and give people memories that last for a lifetime, and beyond.
